About Swami Tulsidas
Swami Vishwatulsidasananda was born in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin. He began meditating at age fifteen and began exploring spirituality and religion in various forms.
At eighteen, Swami Tulsidas moved to an ashram in California where a fellow resident showed him a picture of Paramahamsa Sri Swami Vishwananda. When he saw the picture, his Heart made the intuitive words “This is your Guru.” Upon meeting Paramahamsa Vishwananda soon after, Swami Tulsidas was deeply moved by the amount of Love that emanated from the Guru. Swami Tulsidas asked if he could live in His ashram (then in Steffenshoff, Germany) and moved there six months later.
During the next twelve years, Swami Tulsidas was an active member of the Bhakti Marga Foundation, acquiring a vast amount of knowledge, wisdom, spiritual experiences, and most importantly witnessing the divinity of Sri Paramahamsa Vishwananda first-hand. Early on, Swami Tulsidas was given the task of teaching the teachers of Atma Kriya Yoga, which he did for ten years.
In 2011 he was initiated as a Rishi, and was at that time given his name Rishi Tulsidas Ananda for his deep connection and love for the Divine Mother Tulsi.
In October 2018 he was formally initiated as Swami and was given the responsibility of coming to live in North America as a guiding support for those on the Path of Bhakti.
Swami Tulsidas says that his greatest joy is to watch people remember their personal relationship with God – and that he loves Tulsi (the divine mother) very much.
